Sea Otters are marine mammals found along the coasts of Pacific Oceans. They hang out on the rocks and hunt beneath the sea for clams , abalone and sea urchins, that’s why you might call them the keeper of the kelp beds because without them undersea life would over graze, destroying the kelp forests that feed marine mammals. It’s rare to see a mother and a pup with their male because males otters are often a threat to the pair and may even keep hostage the pup until the female surrenders the food.
